| Lisa Murkowski (che aveva perso di un soffio le elezioni primarie del Republican Party) ha invitato gli elettori a scrivere il suo nome sulla scheda elettorale nel collegio dell'Alaska on cui è risultata vincente. Si tratta del secondo caso nella storia elettorale statunitense di un candidato vincitore appartenente ai write-in. Il Republican Party nello Stato di New York ha avuto l'appoggio del Conservative Party. Il Democratic Party nello Stato del Connecticut ha avuto l'appoggio del Working Families. Al Democratic Party ho aggiunto i voti e il seggio ottenuto dal Democratic Party-Non Partisan League del North Dakota in quanto affiliato a livello federale allo stesso Democratic Party. | ||||||
